Betsy Renfrew will share her journey documenting the Montagnard women weavers of Greensboro.  A slide show of their techniques for warping, weaving on a backstrap loom, and a twining technique called kteh will be presented.  One of the Montagnard women, Ju Nie, will demonstrate either the kteh, spinning cotton on a bamboo spinning wheel or weaving on the backstrap loom itself.  They will bring many examples of the textiles typical of the Central Highlands of Vietnam for show and tell and "teaching loom" for people to try out.
