Community Outreach
Triangle Weavers makes a special effort to take fiber arts into the community. Exhibits and demonstrations have been held at the Chapel Hill Museum, McDougle School Library, Duke Hospital, and Girl Scout troops and camps. There have also been classroom presentations at various local schools.
Community Outreach gives members a chance to exhibit and demonstrate their craft while letting the public see the rewards of working with fibers. Members are encouraged to take part in this rewarding activity.
Triangle Weavers has successfully offered beginning weaving classes to then non-members, most of whom have become members.
