Carolina Fiberfest

Carolina Fiberfest will be held in conjunction with the Got to be NC Agfest May 21-23, 2010 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh in the Holhouser Building. It is a three day event. The vendors will be located around the inside wall. (The center area will be for drop-in and spin, weaving, knitting, crocheting, etc. and a fantastic childrens area to introduce fiber arts to them.) There is a website with vendor applications and information at www.carolinafiberfest.org.

There is a barn behind the Holshouser buillding and where there will be animals from different farms.

The sheep to shawl will be a demo this year even if we have two teams, to learn from it before we make it a contest. Classes will be held, but on a simple level. We want to expand the fiber horizons and bring in as many new people as possible.

Triangle Weavers Participants

Prior to Friday the participants will receive instructions. At our table there will be a folder with the work schedule, list of weavers participating in the exhibition, and a Triangle Weavers flyer and so on.

The set-up will be done on Thursday pm. Please remember to bring woven items and baskets to the April 28th meeting, and a list of your items with your name and a short description of each.  Make a copy for your record.  We would like to get a wide variety of items representing what we like to weave. If you cannot attend the meeting, please call one of us and we will make some other arrangement to get your work.

Even if you are not going to demonstrate, please come over to the State Fairgrounds and enjoy one of the days, to see what this is all about.
