Hillsborough Loom Project

Thanks to help from Triangle Weavers the Orange County Historical Museum’s Loom up and going. It is a counter balance loom, 150 years old from Sweden. The loom will be used for demonstration and teaching at the Colonial Days event at the museum.

Unfortunately, the Museum had few funds to support the project. The Guild donated $50 of rug warp and also to solicit donations of yarn and weft from members. Mostly children will be utilizing the loom so please keep kid-friendly projects in mind when choosing yarn to donate.
