AVL Compu Dobby Loom for sale

Now that I'm semi-retired, I've given up the expectation that I'll ever, ever learn how to use my old, and virgin, AVL compu dobby loom (I did not buy the computer up grade though).

Does anyone  want to make a crazy offer on this loom that needs a loving home?   Never used, but at least stored in my studio rather than in a garage or barn!  Broken down for a move from IL to Hendersonville in '07 and never reassembled, so it's ready to move again.

40" weaving width, with 4 harnesses and 6 treadles. Overall dimensions are:  62" height, 52"overall width, and 48" front to back.  If you don't use it for weaving, it could make a nice "tiny house". Looks like I bought it for about $6000 in 1990.  My god, when I was still young and sassy!  Well kind of young...but I was never "sassy". The smiling model in the above photo is not me. That huge contraption intimidated me enough that I'd never have looked that relaxed and happy.

Hope there is enough information to tempt someone into coming up to Hendersonville for this splendid piece of equipment...

I've moved to a new home in Hendersonville and the AVL is currently in the old home, which is about to be put on the market.  Now there's the motivation for "crazy offer".

Earth Guild Dragon Tales Yarn - Rayon 5/2 Solid & Variegated

I have a large lot of the Dragon Tales yarn from Earth Guild. It is all 5/2 Rayon. I have some solid colors, and some of their variegated colors which are now discontinued. I am selling them off at the bulk price Earth Guild offers.

5/2 Rayon yarn is a great yarn for beginning weavers. It is strong and smooth, with lots of bright colors, and is very easy to warp and weave. It works well on rigid heddle or floor looms, and is perfect for scarves. Each cone is 8oz, approximately 1050 yards.
  • Solid Colors: $14.80/cone (normally $17.40)
  • Variegated Colors: $17.10/cone (normally $20.10)
  • Or special price $600 for the whole box (60+ cones)
