Guild membership meetings are held either at the Seymour Center* in Chapel Hill or at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center in Durham. A brief business meeting and "show-and-tell" precede most meetings.
Meeting programs are carefully planned to educate, inspire, and create interest in weaving related topics. Members often come early to visit, problem-solve, exchange ideas, and pick up/return library materials. Guests are welcome.
Meetings at the Seymour Center are generally held between 6:45-8:45 pm on the 4th Thursday of the month. The Guild expects to host hybrid meetings at the Seymour Center, so that those who cannot attend in person may participate via Zoom.
Meetings at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center are often special events, such as gatherings to celebrate the holidays, and to begin and end the year. Programs and events for 2023-2024 will be announced on the TWG website and via the weekly emails and monthly newsletters. The dates and locations for the 2023-2024 year are:
2/22/24 6:45 PM Seymour Center 3/28/24 6:45 PM Seymour Center 4/25/24 6:45 PM Seymour Center 5/19/24 1:00 PM TFAC
During bad weather, meetings are canceled if the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Schools are closed. Listen to WCHL Radio (91.5 FM) or call a board member if in doubt.
