2024 Convergence 3rd place prize winner

“Wind and Waves”. Woven on a rigid heddle loom with both clasp warp and clasp weft. The variable dent reed allowed for different weights of yarn and for creating spaces between sections to create waves across the piece. Recycled yarn and wheat.
Picture
Shawl -- experimenting with both clasp warp and clasp weft. Recycled yarn including some with sequins (both black and white)
Picture
Woven for a friend's office. Friend requested texture, color, and 'crap' woven in. Reclaimed yarn and 'crap' I found in the street.
Picture
Pink scarf with clasp warp for a breast cancer friend with 6 pinks for the other women in her family. (reclaimed yarn)
Picture
Clasp warp scarf (on a rigid heddle loom). Recycled yarn with novelty yarn border.

Just for fun for a friend’s sewing room . . .hence the odd weave-ins.
Picture
VCR tape purse for a neighbor. She picked the ‘clasp’ from my collection of things I’ve picked up off the ground. There is an “H” button because her name is Heather.
Picture
A friend gave me some funky wire so I had to weave it into something! (Reclaimed yarn, as usual.)
