Wall hanging. Rigid heddle. Novelty yarns and recycled sweater yarn.
VCR tape purses. Woven on a rigid heddle loom with ½ VCR tape and ½ repurposed yarn for the warp. Finished with drapery fabric sample lining and trim, jewelry findings, ultra-suede, denim, electrical cords.
Rewoven antique rug rags into 3 smaller rugs. Two with the warp mimicking the faded original warp and one with blues and purples in the warp (and a bonus table ‘square’ out of the extra warp.
Woven for my mother on a variable dent reed loom reversing the dents between sections. Top section includes strips from a jacket she made in the ‘50’s and buttons from her button box. Middle section is scraps from a skirt she made and small spools of thread (she was a Home Ec. Teacher). Bottom section has wheat stalks because we lived on a wheat farm in OK.
